Move Well - Legends

If you don't use it, you lose it.
(If you lost it, we'll help you get it back)

Fitness is freedom. When my grandmother reached her 70's she began using a walker. She had trouble getting in and out of chairs, beds, cars. She couldn't carry anything that required two hands. Stairs and hills and rough terrain were daunting if not impossible. Ordinary things became dangerous, and pain was a fixture. There was not much she could do by herself.
When my mother was in her 70's she could run miles at a time without stopping, although not without making sure I knew how stupid she thought it was, plank for 5 minutes, jump rope, do burpees(also stupid) and overhead squat(the most stupid). She went kayaking by herself and helped me side my house. The difference was that my mother actively pursued her fitness.
I want the type of freedom my mother had. I want to give my loved ones the freedom to do what they enjoy rather than care for my needs. I want to utterly destroy my grandkids in all things sport for as long as I can.
I want these things for everyone.
At Move Well, the adult fitness program, as with all of our programs, is comprehensive in it's approach to fitness with an eye towards longevity. We take special care to identify restrictions on movement and will tailor the experience to fit each individual. We have experience coordinating training with physicians and physical therapists' instructions and recommendations. We will take into consideration issues pertaining to blood pressure, irregular heart and breathing conditions, pain management, possible effects due to medications and nutrition, and different recovery requirements. The goal and approach are the same as any other class, identify exactly what we are working with and make small and methodical adjustments until improvement is evident. Rinse and repeat in perpetuity.
